UV-1 Ultraviolets
The Suburban UV1 uses a stainless steel reflective disinfecting chamber along with High Intensity Output Lamps. The disinfecting chamber is a full six inches in diameter which will accommodate the increased flow rates of today's filtration systems. This power increase along with the increased exposure time now means that a single lamp will treat a pond of 5,000 to 40,000 gallons.
The Suburban UV1 will perform for 9,000 hours at a lamp replacement cost far below that of the multi-lamp units. The UV1's high intensity output lamp, along with the stainless steel reflecting chamber provides a total of 90,000 micro-watts inside the disinfecting chamber.
