The proper tubing is essential to deliver air flow from the air pump to the air stones or diffuser. Equally important is that the tubing is "thick wall" so that it will not kink or crush and thus close off air flow.

Our tubing is "thick wall", black for easy concealment. You can bury it, place rocks on it etc and it will not crush. 1/2 inch insclasse diameter, 3/4 inch outsclasse diameter.

Description & Specifications

Sinking Air tubing is needed from the pond edge into the pond and down to the Aerator (either air stones or air diffusers). Normal tubing will tend to float up from the bottom of the pond as air flows through the tubing. Sinking Air Tubing is a special formulation of PVC tubing, thick wall and non-buoyant. It measures 1/2 inch I.D. and about 1 inch O.D. Our sinking tubing is not attached or extruded with a metal core or weight of any kind. It is Self Sinking. Our tubing sinks due to its own weight, and will hug the pond wall and pond bottom for a very neat appearance, and it can be attached to our No-kink tubing (see above). Use the no kink tubing from the air pump to the pond edge, and connect the sinking air tubing to the no-kink tubing at the pond edge and into the pond. Both are 1/2 inch I.D. for easy attachment.
